Location
The classes are held at Herb Graham Community Centre, 38 Ashbury Crescent, Mirrabooka
Orientation
Prior to enrolment students need to attend an orientation session. Students who have expressed interest in the course will be notified.
Police Clearance
Students need to have a police clearance with no convictions. This is forwarded to the work placement prior to placement.
Classroom delivery and Work experience
Classes are delivered face to face. Students have the opportunity to learn practical skills in the classroom. Once the classroom learning is completed the students attend a 160hr work experience placement at a suitable venue. This placement is arranged by LearnED Training.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
There are opportunities for students to gain recognition for prior skills and knowledge..
Funding and eligibility
CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support(Ageing/Disability/Home & Community) course is partly funded by the Department of Training Workforce Development and conditions do apply. Students need to be Australian Citizens or have permanent residence in Western Australia. However there are exceptions so please speak to staff at LearnEd Training.
Payment Terms
On successful enrolment, students need to take up one of the following payment options:
- Pay a deposit of a minimum of $100 and then pay instalments (with a maximum of 8 weeks to pay the remainder) A payment plan can be arranged through the LearnED Training office
- Present a signed authority from an employer to invoice that employer for the student’s fees and charges;
Course Fee Waiver
In instances of financial hardship, the cost of the course may be considered for fee waiver, however, students will need to provide evidence of financial hardship which may include a letter from Centrelink showing proof of income, Concession Cards, Income Support Payment details and copies of utilities bills.
The student needs to complete a Financial Hardship Application Form, outlining weekly household costs. This must be handed to the LearnED Training administation staff member.
